Where Is Tinidee Hideaway?

Tinidee Hideaway Tonsai Beach is located on a beautiful stretch of coastline in Krabi, surrounded by towering limestone cliffs, tropical greenery and the clear waters of the Andaman Sea. It’s a much quieter setting than the busy streets of Ao Nang, making it a lovely place to escape the crowds and enjoy a few peaceful days by the beach.

Tonsai Beach sits between Ao Nang and Railay Beach and is generally reached by longtail boat. This slightly secluded location is part of its charm, although it’s worth planning your arrival in advance, particularly if you’re travelling with large suitcases.

When my girlfriend stayed at Tinidee Hideaway for three nights , the location was one of her favourite things about the resort. She loved being surrounded by nature with beautiful sea views and dramatic limestone cliffs visible throughout the grounds.

If you’re looking for somewhere peaceful to relax while still being close to some of Krabi’s most beautiful scenery, Tindee Hideaway is certainly worth considering.

The Accommodation: Wooden Villas with Beautiful Sea Views

One of the things that makes Tinidee Hideaway Tonsai Beach stand out is its beautiful wooden villas. Rather than staying in a traditional hotel building, guests can enjoy accommodation surrounded by tropical gardens, limestone cliffs and the Andaman Sea providing a stunning backdrop.

My girlfriend stayed in one of the wooden villas during her three nights at the resort. She particularly loved the peaceful surroundings and the views from her accommodation.

Inside the Villa

The villa had a lovely natural feel with wooden ceilings, large windows and plenty of natural light. The bedroom opened towards the balcony, allowing you to enjoy the surrounding greenery and glimpses of the sea without even leaving the room.

From the photos Domi took during her stay, you can really appreciate how the wooden design fits into the tropical surroundings. It’s a different experience from staying in one of the larger hotels around Ao Nang.

The Private Balcony

For Domi, one of the highlights of the accommodation was the balcony overlooking the gardens and sea.

With the limestone cliffs rising in the distance and the sound of the ocean nearby, it was a beautiful place to sit and enjoy the surroundings.

If you’re considering booking Tinidee Hideaway, I’d recommend looking carefully at the different villa options and their views before choosing your room. The exact accommodation types and availability can vary, so it’s worth checking the latest photographs and descriptions before booking.

The Swimming Pool: One of the Highlights of Tinidee Hideaway

One of the biggest highlights of Tinidee Hideaway Tonsai Beach is its beautiful outdoor swimming pool. Surrounded by tropical gardens, towering limestone cliffs and views across the Andaman Sea, it’s easily one of the most attractive parts of the resort.

During her three nights here, Domi particularly enjoyed spending time around the pool. With such beautiful surroundings, it’s the perfect place to relax, cool off and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere that makes Tonsai Beach so special.

A Swimming Pool with a View

What really makes the swimming pool stand out is its location. Rather than being surrounded by hotel buildings, the pool looks out towards the sea with Krabi’s famous limestone cliffs providing an incredible backdrop.

The surrounding gardens and palm trees add to the tropical atmosphere, making it a lovely place to spend a quiet afternoon.

If you’re looking for accommodation in Krabi where you can spend a few days relaxing rather than constantly heading out on excursions, the swimming pool is definitely one of Tinidee Hideaway’s biggest attractions.

The Atmosphere: Quiet, Peaceful and Surrounded by Nature

One of the things Domi loved most about Tinidee Hideaway Tonsai Beach was how peaceful the resort felt. Surrounded by tropical gardens, palm trees and towering limestone cliffs, it’s the kind of place where you can slow down and enjoy the natural beauty of Krabi.

The wooden villas are spread throughout the greenery, giving the resort a relaxed atmosphere that feels very different from staying in a large hotel. With beautiful scenery in almost every direction, even walking around the grounds is part of the experience.

During her three nights here, Domi enjoyed the quiet surroundings and the feeling of being away from the busier tourist areas.

A Different Side of Krabi

Having spent plenty of time around Ao Nang and Railay myself, I know how different the atmosphere can be depending on where you choose to stay.

Ao Nang is a great base for restaurants, shops and organised tours but Tonsai Beach offers something a little different. It’s quieter, more secluded and surrounded by some of the most impressive scenery in Krabi.

If your idea of a perfect holiday involves peaceful mornings, tropical surroundings and spending time by the sea, Tindee Hideaway is a lovely option to consider.

The Beachfront and Outdoor Areas

Another beautiful feature of Tinidee Hideaway Tonsai Beach is its beachfront setting. With the Andaman Sea just beyond the resort grounds and Krabi’s famous limestone cliffs rising above the coastline, there are some fantastic views to enjoy.

One of Domi’s favourite things about staying here was being able to spend time outdoors and take in the scenery. The beachfront terrace offers a lovely place to sit, relax and appreciate the surroundings, especially if you’re looking for somewhere away from the crowds.

Beautiful Views Throughout the Day

What makes this part of Krabi so special is the combination of tropical greenery, dramatic cliffs and the sea. Whether you’re relaxing around the resort or taking a walk along Tonsai Beach, there’s always something beautiful to look at.

The photographs Domi took during her stay really capture this atmosphere. With the limestone cliffs towering above the water and the peaceful beachfront surroundings, it’s easy to see why she enjoyed her three nights here so much.

For anyone who loves coastal scenery and quieter places to stay, this is certainly one of the resort’s biggest attractions.

Things to Do Around Tinidee Hideaway

Although Tinidee Hideaway Tonsai Beach is perfect for relaxing, there’s also plenty to explore along this beautiful stretch of Krabi’s coastline. Tonsai is particularly popular with travellers who enjoy outdoor activities, dramatic scenery and a quieter atmosphere than the busier tourist areas.

During Domi’s stay, she noticed numerous activities available around the area, including rock climbing and paddleboarding. Although she spent most of her time enjoying the resort, it’s good to know there are options if you fancy something a little more adventurous.

Rock Climbing on Tonsai Beach

Tonsai Beach is well known for its impressive limestone cliffs and rock climbing opportunities. Climbers travel here to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and challenging climbing routes, with options for different experience levels.

Even if you’re not interested in climbing yourself, the towering cliffs make this one of the most spectacular coastal areas in Krabi.

Exploring Railay Beach

One of the biggest advantages of staying on Tonsai Beach is being close to Railay, one of my favourite places in Thailand.

Railay is famous for its beautiful beaches, limestone cliffs and relaxed atmosphere. I’ve stayed here myself and would definitely recommend exploring the area if you have the opportunity.

Depending on the tides and conditions, it’s possible to reach Railay from Tonsai by walking along the coast or taking a longtail boat. Always check the conditions before attempting the walk.

Paddleboarding and Enjoying the Coastline

For something more relaxing, the calm coastal scenery makes this a lovely area to explore from the water when conditions are suitable.

Paddleboarding and other water activities may be available locally, although I’d recommend checking what’s currently operating before your visit.

You can also simply enjoy Tonsai Beach, take photographs of the limestone cliffs or spend an afternoon relaxing by the resort’s swimming pool.

My Tip

I'd recommend spending at least two or three nights at Tinidee Hideaway if you want time to enjoy the resort and explore the surrounding area without rushing.
